Written by Hope.

Doubt is without doubt, a well placed word in human language. “I doubt she can succeed in school seeing as she is mentally challenged.” Or, “I doubt he has enough money to succeed in the corporate world.” Doubt. Doubtful. And the one I’m playing with today is, “I doubt there is a God because if there were one then why did I get cancer?”

Hope of course is without doubt, a well placed word in human language. “I hope she can succeed in school seeing as she is mentally challenged. Or, “I hope he has enough money to succeed in the corporate world.” Hope. Hopeful.

Two main words today. Doubt and hope. One topic, God. (bear with me atheists, truth hurts and I hope you finish reading this though it is doubtful.

A little story. A very true story. A story much older than this solar system. A story nearer a beginning than an ending yet first some clarity. i have no faith. Faith and hope go well together. Faith is important for those beginning or advancing their relationship with God. Once i had faith. Once a long, long, long time ago… Now faith is replaced not with hope or doubt. Faith is just one of the many threads the clothing of my soul wears. It is always a permanent part of what i am.

Anyway, in a time beyond time, or at least for clarity, one of the times, there was a planet. This planet had no life. It was a hard rock of assembled matter. There was no atmosphere, no bacteria, no virus, no water, no heat, in actual fact there was not even much light to reflect off this rock. Buried deep inside amongst all the construct there was one atom.

For those of you used to such terms as matter, atomic structure, density, gravity, you know what is being written.

This atom was inside doing what atoms do best, it existed. It existed when the planet was created and it existed when the planet was destroyed. The destruction was another very large chunk of matter, a rogue planet if you will.

Debris was cast out into the void. There were black holes. Anomalies. Comets. There was a lot of ‘stuff’.

Now, to save time for those of you who believe in such, this one particular atom found its way to a younger galaxy, a younger solar system, a baby planet called, Earth.

Inside my upper right tooth the atom now resides. A bit modified though still very much the identity.

Why write this? Well, because many people say, “God does not exist.” Or, “If there is a God, God does not even care that I exist.” Or, for any atheist still reading, (see hope does exist) “God does not exist.”

If you can see, see this. God knows each and every atom. Every atom ever created, ever destroyed, ever will be. Wrap your cerebral around that. So when you think you are alone and no one or nothing cares about you know this, God cares.

That’s it for today. A simple piece of words. Words as small as the atomic structures around us. And have no doubt, God not only loves and cares for you, God has no doubt and hopes you enjoy the ongoing mystery, a mystery very much real and with a fantastic reveal of Truth.
