Biological evolution. Wonderful tool in the pursuit of knowledge.

Darwin was in the right place at the right time to connect the science of what is to what science is not.

Science may seem to be a wonderful practice for humans only yet that in and of itself is merely a humorous folly.

Humans have debated the seen and unseen forever. Many have the curiosity of today and maybe tomorrow while there are those who are curious about the unseen. Good/bad. Evil/pure. God. Demons. Blacch black blah… (beep)

You’re a scientist. If you make a cup of coffee in the morning you are using scientific skills to manipulate matter, temperature, olfactory senses…You are conducting an experiment and are usually secure in your belief as to the outcome.

Humans all are science minded even if they drool on themselves and bang their collective heads against a wall in a mental institution (University, school, or a real mental hospital)

God is the ultimate scientist, a virus is the most insignificant scientist. Everything else is in between. (between, hah!)

You are a scientist and you are all indeed a part of an ongoing experiment. A giant chain of experiments folded together like the ingredients of a fine tasting omelet.

Now some basics as pertaining to biologics. If you create a species oh lets say, ants. What fun! Place your ants into an environment and watch what happens. They thrive or they die. If they thrive they reproduce and spread across their environment until they can’t. If they can’t they evolve or die.

Earth history is full of species who tried and who either evolved or died. Some long living creations are trees, plants, and even some animal life such as sharks and crustaceans.

Every living biologic has its environment, its history of evolution, its strengths and weakness. Some creations such as insects and viral diseases have the ability to exist in every sort of environment possible. From extreme heat to the cold void of space. Some creations only exist for mere seconds after being introduced into the experiment; never to be known to have ever existed in the first place.

I write of this today because of the current antics of a species called, humans. What an interesting experiment. Humans are not just a species of Earth, they are the remnants of an experiment conducted a long time ago and yes, not important to what I want to convey today, just consider that humans are a successful experiment as measured against good/bad, evil/pure.

A successful living form considered a success is one that can adapt to any environment and thrive. A species such as humanity can change their environment. They can defeat/destroy that hostile to its existence. It can evolve. Eventually a successful species such as humans can create that which is different in the sciences.

Currently humans are playing with robotics and artificial intelligence. Crude? Indeed. Yet it shows the evolution of this planets crop of humans. The tenacity and curious nature of a successful experiment.

It must be said that humans have not been alone in the experiment. They are no longer the ant colony released to live or die as the environment dictated. No, they are being watched by (yes) another form of experiment. And truth be told, the other form of experiment is being watched and so on, and so on. (that’s a story for another day/experiment)

Most scientists who actually call themselves ‘scientists’ follow some form of pattern of experimentation. They log failures, changes, success. They chart and graph. Most importantly, they formulate a hypothesis as to what the experiment will result in. They speculate..

I could write about this for an eternity and show you the impossible ways of how God operates but Thor wants to go play and chase the tractor. So why write about this? Proof as to why my part in the many experiments is to be the batch in the test tube that was an unintentionally introduced variable… And what a fun experience is is turning out to be!
