The Many Doors of Hell

On the television of yesteryear, there were the many game shows with many various names. Names such as, ‘Wheel of Fortune,” or “The Price is Right.”

“Alright Alice, you can choose curtain number one or two or three. Would you like to take your $5000 now or bet it all for what’s behind door number four?” Bob Barker was a slick salesman. A happy and joyous man.

“Oh Bob! I’m so excited.” (the crowd yells, ‘Open the door. Go for the door!’)

Confused, Alice stutters and says to Bob, “I’ll bet it all on door number four.”

“Alrighty Alice,” and with a flourish of his hand the door opened…

It seems that it gets more and more complicated to bring happiness that is joyful to yourself and others. So many now strive to bring joy to their lives at the expense of others. A selfish society full of those seeking happiness while making other peoples lives as miserable as can be.

In this story behind door number four a man existed named, Bud Durock . He was a genuine prick. A man whose actions were the complete reflection of a jackass. Oh he did complicated and simple things to bring joy to his life. Killing kittens was easy. So very easy to throw them into a bucket and watch their pathetic attempts to be joyful with life.

It was a bit harder to kill those happy people he did not like but when his sick plans unfolded he was down right ecstatic.

Bud Durock was indeed a joyful prick. So much pain to others. So much sorrow. Even in his final joyful act of burning down a church where twenty parishioners were burned to death, even then he felt a giddy happiness, until a small meteorite fell from the heavens and smashed his skull.

Door number four. A door where behind was the scene of Bud having his head obliterated and his remains buried where worms would consume his body for eternity. Over and over and over. An eternal endurance of having to accept the fact that his final act of burning a church and dying made Satan feel absolutely wonderful.

And, as an added bonus, his death and sorrow brought joy to an entire world of people trying to bring whatever simple joy to their lives.

I wonder what’s behind door number One?

Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.

Dabbling

Expanding those lungs with strained anticipation; race of life running hard

At first a wiggling mass of determination just trying to find a mothers tit

and then?

Growing hair in strange places; hormonal translations; thoughts of flesh and ways

Until before you know it the days blur between night and day.

“What’s it all about?” or “Why am I here?”

When really laughing and knowing the answer that God is looking at me with a smile, grinning in the mirror.

Do you practice religion?

<—————->Hello

A story bold to talk about the weather or the bus that hit you

with broken tiles to mend upon the floor.

Remember the dance in the desert? The one where we lanced and pranced with abandon?

I said, “I love you.” You said. And then we said gaslighting or something of cause and effect.

Would you like to talk soon? Or not. Reasons being what they are.

Just to let you know though, when I snuggle with my dogs and say sweet things

i am really just pretending

what it would be like,

to talk to you.

(And A.I.? Go screw yourself)

Legacy!

Daily writing prompt
What is the legacy you want to leave behind?

Two points of view as to legacy. What to leave behind.

  1. Fuck it. I’m taking it all with me. I will have a trailer behind the hearse as it is all mine! Mine I tell ya! Screw ya all!
  2. I’m starting a foundation where everything goes to helping blind orphans from Ice Land get a good start by providing business loans that are interest free.

“Are you nuts?” said a writers parasite.

No. Yes. Well, maybe. ‘Wanting’ and actually ‘doing’ are two very different things. On one hand it would be nice to leave the world a better place than finding it, and on the other hand it all appears pretty hopeless to leave anything that will just be engulfed in death and destruction.

“So you don’t have anything meaningful to leave behind when your rotting corpse is either vaporized and repurposed in a can of Spam?”

Nope. Nada. Nothing. I plan on leaving nothing behind. When I’m gone, nothing or anything or even history, will know I was ever here… Well, Treasure Cave Blue Cheese will know I’m gone as their sales will plummet as I truly love to eat their blue cheese.

“You’re fucked in the head.”

Yes. Yes I am.

Dancing in the Desert

She held me as softly as the wind

Caressing

Blowing into the hearing the soft sound of, sssssh.

~

Motions of the Sun burned parched lips

Eyes glazed from such a time apart

And he knew, just as he knew his footprints arrived as quickly as they disappeared.

~

The wind smiled as the sand covered his thoughts

Giggling and laughing

She flew away as fast as she forgot his ignorance.

Life

balance beam where life walks

hands stretched from beginning to end

working a body towards a goal, a task.

~

pain upon a point of joy; fulcrum broad so neutral in deciding

how then to share those who bring meaning and comfort?

how does one work through situations where other situations are more demanding?

~

the answers bounce back and forth

as we all work through it towards our final moment

retiring home to be with God.

How do you balance work and home life?

Oh You humans!

You slick little bio machines, what with your sugar fed brains

Slurping water like a fish, eating so you can grow, live and shit.

Sacrifice? You mean you give?

Up? Do you give up? Do you quit? And then cry/get mad/smile if you’re sick?

Okay, I’ll bite, what do I sacrifice? Mmm… Nothing. Absolutely nothing as I only take, I demand, I, I, I, I am me and if you ask me I wouldn’t give you one whit

It is always about me and it always has been this way. Ever since I discovered there were choices to be made. God gave humans something called commandments, or rules or laws. Something about sin. Ha! What would God know about sacrifice! God is a….

“Stop.”

What?

“You need to stop and go back to Hell now Lucifer. You sacrificed your Light for a lost cause of evil.”

No… No I did not! You are wrong, I am right. You’re a fool and I’m a god!

“Look into my eyes. What do you see?”

I, I, I, I see God…and, and,

“You lost.”

Nooooo!

Daily writing prompt
What sacrifices have you made in life?

Whee!

Saddled at birth with a name. A name sticking to you like glue.

Given by man with whim of choices to allow a woman to say yes.

Only, that is who we are.

Or is it not of what we are; rather something of Earth?

Nay only to know; forever knowing, of the soul we are wearing.

Blood Flow

When a woman bleeds, her heart opens a path to creation

As a child she plays the ways of compassionate concern for the voices in her head

A doll

A baby

A tea party

Joyous female celebration.

Her body matures and develops

In stride she cries as she laughs until the toys and imagination become the reality of hormones and ovulation

Passion replaces common sense

Common sense now becomes a clock where the hands speed to tend to

tend to

to tend a change.

menstruation

for a time to rhythm and lunar calculations

until

the moon hides behind taking pause

now past any more flowing stream, now replaced with calmness and peace

an old woman smiles as she tried and she failed in the ongoing process

of Creation.
