For me, the word, ‘it’s hard’, conjure instantly the thoughts of sex, but also of life. Ironic two words can be actual and a metaphor at the same time.
Today’s moments make it hard to believe in, have faith in, trust in, or anything pertaining to positive regarding humans.
Futility is another word with so many meanings. Hope. Ambition. Desire. These words go well with words such as, struggle, perspire, attempt. Futility is also a word that reminds me of the Borg collective on a show called, Star Trek.
History of this planets dominant species is a long one. Much of the history known. Most though, will remain a mystery.
I wonder. Would humanity benefit with knowing its total history? Or would it be the same results as humanity benefiting from knowing its future? This is why the present is as it is… A tossed salad of those knowing the past, those knowing the future, and yet, none can barely live in the present.
There is oftentimes the phrase, ‘Truth,’ followed by, ‘What is truth?’, followed by words given by those knowing the past, the future, but unable to live in the present.
Such a contradiction. Knowledge/Ignorance. Truth/Lies. Love/Hate. Happy/Sad. Yet for such a contrast, such a perfect marriage of words to describe death…
“Abortion is a woman’s right!” “Black lives matter!” “I hate the police!” “I love pizza!” “Ban guns!” And on, and on, and on. More wordsssss… More knowledge/ignorance, truth/lies, love/hate, happy/ sad… the death of people and thoughts only to be replaced with the birth of people and thoughts. A cycle of reality perfect for such an imperfect planet.
After a war, countries are rebuilt. The societies regroup and move forward. Buildings are erected. Bridges are constructed. And nothing is retained or learned as the battle between knowledge/ignorance, truth/lies, love/hate, happy/sad… remain exactly the same as it has, is, and will be… The past, present, and future.
Eventually, it all balances out in the end just as it is… in the beginning. Planets destroyed. Life destroyed. ‘Everything’ destroyed. And at the same time, Creation.
