“Think outside of the box,” it has often been said.

Boxes are interesting. Homeless people sleep in them. Children play in them. And so much is shipped in them.

Today, in an old Amazon box, I spotted an owl. Not a statue or toy, but a real, feathered, live owl.

How it got in the box is a story by itself. Or, simply stated, the owl was hit by a vehicle and while not completely dead, was picked up by a woman who took pity on the owl.

She placed it in the box.  Now why is that? Does the box from Amazon possess magical healing powers? Of course, the answer is no.

Later in the day I asked the owner of the property if they had seen the owl. He said, “No.”

He went to look and there was no owl. Interesting as his mind knew more than  it was saying vocally.

When I said the owl was alive when I saw it, he looked surprised.

And after work, the box and owl were gone.

He did state he does not like owls. He would like them all to be dead… Why? Because he says they kill his ducks…

So many stories within stories….

Bottom line: All life is precious. Ducks. Owls. Babies. People. Ants. Spiders. And and all life is precious. As such, all life deserves better that to be put into an empty Amazon box.
