Children killing children. Bang. Bang. Bang. And then, instantly the ‘blame’ game resumes.

Interesting how everyone seeks to blame ‘something’. Lately, any time a rifle or pistol is used to take life, there are those who ‘blame’ the weapon.

It is easy to grandstand or take a stand of, “I know the answer to the problem,” and then with bellicose, announce to the world what I know. Sorta like me typing here talking about gun violence.

So, tonight I’m going to use questions and let the reader think of the answer:

  1. What are the gun mortality statistics regarding children using rifles or pistols to take other children’s lives going back 100 years?
  2. Of those children taking other children’s lives with gun’s, how many of them involved shootings at school?
  3. What does the data show in relation to the above data and the time video games involving extreme violence were introduced?
  4. Again, using the data from #1 and #2, could there also be a correlation with the access of data available via the internet?
  5. What role does social networking around the world have in reacting to the violence incurred by children killing children with guns?
  6. Is it possible there is a change in a child’s thought process when using the modern technology?

I could ask endless questions to lead the reader to think of what most already have made their minds up on regarding gun violence but in today’s arena, it would be useless.

There are those so sure that getting rid of every gun in the world would solve the problem they could not be swayed from their thoughts anymore than those who think every man, woman and child should have access to guns.

There are reasons for reasons. Questions for questions. Opinions upon opinions. Facts upon billions of facts.

For me, the main cause of killing in any form is not because of video games, or pistols, or rifles, or the NRA. It is not because of political, religious, social or any other form of reason other than one simple fact. Humans are natural born killers. Each and human is born with the natural ability to kill. They are also born with the natural ability to find peace. The choice of which natural ability they are born with is then open to what environment they are raised and live in with slight modifications of behavior due to medical (physical or mental) conditions each may experience.
