So much written about such simple letters used from the alphabet. L. O. V. E. or if one prefers, o,l,e,v.

I’ve written about this word many times in the past, and much like so many other words, it has so many meanings it finally ends up being meaningless.

Gay used to mean happy, now the word defines sexual preferences. Love is no different.

So, how do words apply to the meaning they are assigned for the moment? I guess it just depends on who is using the words to those listening to the words.

‘I love you,’ could just as well mean, ‘I hate you’, and vice versa. Language is indeed a strange mechanism of communication.

Guess what it all boils down to is not words and their meanings, as really there is no meaning to any word. Any word can mean absolutely anything a person wants it to represent.

We all have our various opinions and ideas on what a word should define. The word, love is no different.

For me, actions mean much more than any words. A person could smile at me while using words of whatever meaning. They could say so much pleasantries and it all would be meaningless if the actions of hate were imposed.

So, words really have no meaning. None. They are merely tools of the moment. A means of opportunity used to convey some kind of bizarre communication that could be as it was meant to be or a complete cloud of smoke.

The next time someone says something to you, believe it or not. Humans are experts in deceit. A growling dog however, growling and preparing to tear your arm off is much more honest in actions and communication than most all people could ever be.

I love that about the language of all around us, it is open, honest, and easy to understand. Human language though… Yikes!
